A Gym Built For Lifters

Archetype Strength is a free weight gym that emphasizes lifting first. We built these gyms for powerlifters, strength athletes, weekend warriors, and anyone who wants a premium lifting experience without the nonsense. No treadmill farms, no lunk alarms — just serious equipment in a serious environment.

This is what we're built around. Every location is loaded with competition-grade powerlifting equipment from Rogue Fitness — the gold standard in strength equipment.

Rogue Squat Racks

Multiple squat racks at every location — including combo racks at our RTP gym. No waiting for a rack, even during peak hours. Built by Rogue for heavy, daily use.

Dedicated Deadlift Platforms

Purpose-built deadlift platforms at every location. Pull heavy without worrying about the floor. Chalk encouraged, noise expected.

Combo Racks

Competition-style combo racks for squat and bench. Adjustable, heavy-duty, and built for serious loads. Available at our RTP location.

Calibrated Plates

Competition-calibrated plates for precise loading. When your programming calls for specific percentages, you'll hit them exactly.

Dumbbells Up to 150 lbs

Full dumbbell sets going up to 150 lbs at every location. Heavy enough for the strongest lifters in Raleigh.

Specialty Bars

Safety squat bars (SSB), cambered bars, trap bars, football bars, and more. Rotate variations, work around injuries, or just train smarter.

Bumper Plates

Full sets of bumper plates for Olympic lifts, cleans, and anything you want to drop from height. Color-coded for quick loading.

Flat & Adjustable Benches

Heavy-duty benches for pressing, rows, and accessory work. Available at every rack and platform.

Posterior Chain & Specialty Equipment

The equipment that separates a real strength gym from a globo-gym. These are the tools that build bulletproof backs, hamstrings, and glutes.

Rogue Belt Squat

Load your legs without loading your spine. The Rogue belt squat is one of the best accessories for heavy leg training with zero spinal compression. Hard to find in Raleigh — we have one.

GHR (Glute-Ham Raise)

The single best hamstring developer in existence. Build posterior chain strength that carries over directly to your squat and deadlift.

Reverse Hyper

Decompress the spine while building your lower back and glutes. A staple in any serious powerlifting gym — and one of the hardest machines to find in a commercial gym.

Sleds

Push sleds and drag sleds for conditioning, leg drive development, and GPP work. Train on our indoor turf — not a parking lot.

Indoor Turf

Dedicated turf areas for sled pushes, carries, drags, and strongman-style training. Up to 105' of open turf at our East Raleigh location.

Machines & Cable Equipment

Every location has between 12-16 machines for isolation work, accessories, and hypertrophy training. We're a free weight gym first — but we have the machines you need to round out your training.

Cable Machines

Dual-adjustable cable columns for face pulls, tricep pushdowns, cable rows, flyes, and every cable variation you can think of.

Lat Pulldown

Plate-loaded and selectorized lat pulldown stations for building a wide, thick back.

Leg Press

Heavy-duty leg press for high-volume leg work and building quad size without taxing your lower back.

Pendulum Squat

One of the best quad-building machines ever made. Constant tension through the full range of motion. Hard to find in most gyms — we have it.

V-Squat

Another premium squat variation machine for targeting quads and glutes from a different angle. Complements the free weight squat perfectly.

Leg Extension

Isolate the quads for pre-exhaust work, rehab, or hypertrophy sets after your main lifts.

Leg Curl

Lying and seated leg curl machines for hamstring isolation and balanced leg development.

Smith Machine

Smith machines available for guided pressing, squatting, and accessory movements. Useful for burnout sets and training around injuries.
